We depart Marree, heading north up the Oodnadatta Track, including over 600 kilometres of legendary Outback track and taking us on a journey of discovery, exploration and imagination.

We take in the views of Lake Eyre South - part of the massive Kati Thanda - Lake Eyre salt lake - which is the lowest point on the Australian mainland (some 15 meters below sea level) and continue on to Anna Station, made famous by Sidney Kidman, the great Australian ‘Cattle King’. It remains to this day, the biggest working cattle station in the world.

Our desert 4x4 tag along tours take in the best of the Australian outback. Discover gems like Birdsville, Lake Eyre, Anna Station and the amazing scenery of The Simpson Desert from the comfort of your own four wheel drive.

We make our way to Mount Dare on the western edge of the Simpson Desert, where you will be able to swim in the famous natural artesian springs at Dalhousie, located in Witjira National Park (on the Western fringe of the Simpson Desert), Northeast of Oodnadatta in Northern South Australia.

We stop in to wander around Old Andado - the homestead of Molly Clark - first settled in the early 1900s and learn about life in the Outback over 100 years ago. You will also see waddy waddy trees (Acacia Peuce), still only found in a few places in the Outback and only in two other places in the world! Commonly known as the Waddywood tree, these were used to make the waddy waddy sticks for Aboriginal hunting.

Then it's off to the famous Madigan Line, made famous by Cecil Madigan who led the first scientific-based expedition across the Simpson Desert back in 1939. We'll stay in some of his old camps along the way.

Next up, we head off to the iconic town of Birdsville - one of Australia’s most recognised outback towns - situated on the Hay River Track, for a well-earned beer at one of the best-known pubs in the world.

Finally, after a drive down the legendary Birdsville Track back to Marree we see the end of our adventure.
